BROOKS stairlifts are built to last, with low maintenance and high reliability. They run on

maintenance free DC battery Power, which are automatically recharged at the end of every trip.
This also means they are whisper quiet and incredibly smooth. Even if there is a power cut the
stair lift glides smoothly to its destination..

All of the easy to use features are built into each Stairlift Acorn manufacture. Footrest means the stairs remain available for use by others when the stairlift is not in use. Due to the stairlift's DC power supply noise levels are at whisper quiet levels. The lift can be 'sent' or 'called' to wherever it is needed by using the infra-red remote control. There is no jolting or lurching as the lift starts or finishes its journey. Swivel seat with locking catch - ensures easy mounting and dismounting from the stairlift. The lift will not operate unless the seat is in the correct riding position. The diagnostic digital display mounted on the stairlift carriage shows clearly when the lift is in the normal operating position and also provides invaluable diagnostic information in the unlikely event of a fault with your stairlift.

Lockable isolation switch to ensure that the stairlift always stops in the correct position. Pressure-sensitive safety surfaces that prevent the lift from colliding with any obstruction on the stairway. These are located around the footrest, and on the top and bottom of the carriage.

Stairlifts fit to stair treads not to the wall. Because we use our own fully trained Installation Engineers, the process is quick, clean and simple. Factory-prepared for installation - each stairlift is individually built to the dimensions of your own staircase. No mains wiring necessary - there's no need for expensive and disruptive alteration to the domestic mains power supply, or for a certified electrician to connect main power. Maintenance free batteries - power for the lift is derived from 2 x 12 volt batteries charged via an independent transformer. Infra-red remote controls - no complicated wiring for the lift call stations.

Acorn stairlifts are powered by direct current (DC) supplied by rechargeable batteries. These deliver a smooth, ultra-quiet and safe ride quality. The batteries are maintenance-free and charged by a safe 15 volt AC, which is stepped-down from the domestic mains supply with a transformer. Using this method of power for your stairlift has many advantages. If there is ever a power failure in your home your stairlift continues to function, so you will never get stranded. There is no mains voltage power to your stairlift. As the power supply is onboard the stairlift itself there is no troublesome trailing cable as you get with AC powered lifts. DC battery power gives an extremely smooth and near silent operation. It also allows us to build in a Soft start / soft stop', this means that there is no jolting or lurching as your stairlift starts or finishes its journey. This adds to the feeling of safety and stability.

There are 5 sensors, 3 on the footrest, and 2 on the carriage.		Swivel seat, locks in either 45° or 90° position The seat turns and locks in either a 45° or 90° position, helping you get into, and out of, your stair lift easily and safely.

Warranties
The BROOKS Stairlift is guaranteed for a period of 12 months from the installation date. The guarantee covers you for all mechanical failures through defects in manufacture or installation.
